Important Information on Race Scheduling:

Time Zone
: All times listed are in AEDT (Australian Eastern Daylight Time).

Release Date: The final race schedule will be released on Friday, 27th of October 2023.

Order of Race Distances: The order of race distances (2000m, 1000m, 500m, 2000m Relay) will be maintained. However, the specific time blocks for each race distance are subject to adjustment based on the number of entries.

Age Categories: Races will generally be organised by age categories, starting with younger participants and progressing to older ones. However, this arrangement may be modified for the following reasons:

- To accommodate hubs with a limited number of rowing machines.

- To prevent schedule clashes for participants.

EARLY SUBMISSION

We recognise that there may be several conflicts with other rowing regattas and sporting events scheduled for the 28th of October 2023. In light of this, we are offering competitors the flexibility to submit their results in advance if they are unable to participate on the official race date. Competitors will have the option to submit their race results between 06:00 am on Wednesday, the 25th of October, and 06:00 am on Saturday, the 28th of October 2023 AEST. Please note that the race must be completed on a Concept 2 rowing machine, and photographic evidence of your results, including the verification code displayed on the monitor, must be provided. For guidance on how to show the result verification code, you can refer to this instructional video: How to Show Result Verification Code.Lightweight competitors are also required to upload photographic evidence of their weigh-in, which should include proof of the date. To be eligible to race and place, all competitors must complete their entry before the 22nd of October 2023. Enter Here We urge competitors not taking part in real-time to share images or videos on social media, capturing themselves and their peers in action. How to take part

Required Equipment

Concept 2 static rowing machine with a PM3, PM4 or PM5 monitor.

One USB A-B cable a.k.a Printer Cable per rowing machine. Please note that each rowing machine needs to be connected to a computer directly.

A Laptop, PC, or Mac and Internet connection wired (preferable) or WiFi
Running either a Mac OS X, Windows 8.1 or higher or Chrome OS
Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge installed to run Homerace.

Hub set up

Each hub should have a maximum of 20 rowing machines. A maximum of 4 rowing machines can be connected up to a dedicated laptop. It is preferred that your laptop is connected via Ethernet cable to the internet however WiFi does work. A back up of a 4g hotspot is recommended. Ideally there is 1 volunteer per laptop and 4 rowing machines. Please test your set up including a connectivity test before event start.
